Local game progress
The Story Steps release candidate stores progress in the current browser. It does not require a child name. Clearing browser data may remove that progress; the exact storage behavior remains part of release review.

Ordinary Play is not a hidden clinical record.
The product standard
- Do not turn ordinary game results into attention, mood, personality, diagnosis, or mental-health scores.
- Do not use child information for behavioral advertising or cross-site child targeting.
- Do not silently import ordinary Play into a future professional, clinic, Care, or research record.
- Require a separate purpose, notice, permission, retention rule, and responsible owner before any future sensitive-data workflow.
- Keep camera, microphone, provider marketplace, and research capabilities unavailable until their separate review gates pass.
Still needed before stronger promises
- A current field-and-purpose inventory.
- A vendor and subprocessor list.
- Network and storage verification for released routes.
- Retention, deletion, correction, and export procedures.
- A documented incident and user-rights contact process.
A child-readable reminder
Ask a trusted adult before sharing information.
You do not need to tell a game your real name or how you feel.
